Art is the great escape to the mysterious realms within.
Whether it's painting, ballet, opera, it doesn't matter, what does matter is that it takes you to your personal sacred place. It's completely subjective - we resonate to different frequencies and harmonies.
The act of creation is luminous/beautiful/magnificent...and that is echoed by the act of reaction when experiencing the piece in progress or at it's temporary resting place.
